Who we are

Education that actually reaches people

Founded in January 2016, the Humboldt Group Foundation draws on the legacy of the Humboldt Group, an educational pioneer for more than fifty years. From those founding principles we built a straightforward commitment: education changes what a person can do next, and it should not be reserved for whoever can afford it.

We are organised exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Everything we receive, income and principal alike, goes to advancing that mission.

Mission
Inspire people to transform themselves, their industries and their communities.
Vision
A world where education is the catalyst for personal and social transformation.

What we do

Three fronts, one purpose

Our work is organised around the areas where we can make the clearest difference for learners, educators and artists.

Accessible education

Continuing education and professional development for people who need to update their skills: practical, reachable and free of confusing paperwork.

Art and culture

The Hernán Gamboa Gallery preserves a musical legacy and opens real space for Latin American artists and their communities.

Educational innovation

Through EduAction we bring together conferences, research and workshops on digital learning and the skills teaching now demands.

Education

Continuing Education & Professional Development

The Foundation backs continuing education as a real path for people already working, or coming back to study, to update what they know, gain new skills and not fall behind when the market moves.

Hernán Gamboa Gallery: Art, Culture & Community

The Hernán Gamboa Gallery is the Foundation's cultural project. It exists to look after the legacy of Venezuelan musician Hernán Gamboa and, at the same time, to give Latin American art a living space in our community.

Our reach

Rooted in Miami, connected across the Americas and Europe

The Foundation works from Miami alongside a network of academic institutions and cultural partners. That network is how a workshop, a scholarship or an exhibition reaches further than any single organisation could on its own.
